Kim Jones’ showing in Paris left guests with an experience that combined modernity and tradition. Tradition in the sense that classical tailoring was obvious in the quiet precision of his suits, jackets, and pants. There were also military references in parts of the show. But even with this homage to days of Dunhill’s storied heritage, silhouettes and materials that came for example in a double-breasted navy jacket constructed from high-performance, crush-proof mohair called Camdeboo signified Jones’ modern approach. Majority of the outfits were jazzed up with Dunhill accessories such as tote bags, watches, lapel pins, pens, cuff links and tie clips.
