BMWs recent diesel resurgence (check out the badass 335d) has moved up to their flagship, the ever-popular 7-series. Naturally, the 730/740 diesels are propelled by an inline 6-cylinder, producing 306bhp and an axle-twisting 422lb-ft of torque. The twin-turbo 730d boasts best-in-class fuel economy and emissions, a seemingly simple task as most other luxury flagships are powered by thirsty V8s. Additionally, BMW is offering an M Package for the first time on the 7. The M Sports Package adds, among other things, an aerodynamics package, an abundance of chrome trim, 19 and 20-inch wheel options, and a rebadged interior.
