Garnering major attention worldwide for their casual streetwear with a European flair, Danish label Wood Wood have grown well beyond their quiet beginnings as a t-shirt label in a store hawking art, books, skateboards and toys in Copenhagen. Their Coppi Stripe Crew is a typical example of the brand’s expertise in creating simple pieces with unexpected details. This cotton knit sweater would be fairly straightforward were in not for two bike-racing pockets on the back and an unconvential button closure along the right shoulder. The navy, red and green stripes continue down the sleeves, but stop short halfway down the torso. The pullover retails for €145. For other pieces from the Spring/Summer 09 line, see the Wood Wood webstore.
