After graduating from Milan’s Belle Arti Academy and working as an assistant to Yohji Yamamoto, Ennio Capasa founded Costume National in 1986. The Italian-based label’s clothing has often been described as “edgy-chic,” and the autumn/winter 2009 collection fits the bill. This latest cold weather collection features monochromatic (mainly black or gray) outfits comprised of baggy pants, turtlenecks, vests, and a selection of mid-thigh length coats and heavy, red-soled shoes.
