Ford is expected to resurrect its Capri nameplate next year, in the form of a Focus derived, three door hatchback. Taking a page from Volkswagen’s playbook, the Capri will likely be a more sporting version of the Focus, similar to the relationship between the VW Scirocco and Golf. The Capri uses a steeply raked windshield and low roofline to differentiate itself from the more pedestrian Focus. Its other design cues are consistent with recent models released by Ford, particularly the new Taurus. It is not known whether the Capri will be brought to the US or remain exclusive to European markets.
