After launching clothing brand Folk in 2001, designer Cathal McAteer created a sister line of footwear three years later called Shofolk. Starting with a simple mocassin, the line has expanded today to include sandals, boots, sneakers and hybrids designs, like this model from the popular Armstrong series. This shoe, like all of Shofolk’s wares, is handcrafted in Portugal from raw leathers. With its cushioned sole and mid-ankle height, it combines elements of a Chukka boot and a classic high-top with more refined features. The contrasting color scheme and suede backstay add a bit of flash. Shofolk’s Armstrong line retails between £120 and £140. For online purchase, visit the Folk website.
