After a four season stint working at Versace, British designer Satynekumar Patel introduced his first solo line, under the self-named label Satynekumar, with an autumn / winter 2006 collection. With clothing described as an eccentric “combination of tailored casualwear fused with tuxedo style dressing,” Patel saw immediate success. Satynekumar’s autumn/winter 2009 collection continues down the path of eccentricity. Eye-popping fabrics, graphic tops, gloves, and pleated pants that show plenty of ankle round-out this collection. Items available at Oki-ni and Daniel Jenkins.
