Blank Magazine – Sleek Ideas Editorial

Blank Magazine hands the spotlight to the Ralph Lauren Spring 2009 menswear collection in its #38 issue, showcasing just why the label has been such an enduring force in fashion. “Sleek Ideas” consists of six different looks of head-to-toe Ralph Lauren on model Brian Davenport, shot by photographer Pieter Henket. The collection is what the label does best: timeless pieces with a preppy bent, like a tennis sweater and blue pinstripe pants. This season, orange fits in prominently, on chinos embellished with a crest, cable-knit sweaters and dress shirts. Combined with the turquoise backdrop and slick “Mad Men” hair, the feel is retro cool. Davenport also made that issue’s cover, in a navy spring coat. For information on where to buy (hint: everywhere), see the Ralph Lauren site.
