With the vision of creating comfortable, high-quality, and fashionable mens clothing, Niels Martinsen founded Matinique in 1973. Thirty-six years later, the company maintains Martinsen’s vision, now with two distinct lines. Matinique’s new Blue label is a very casual, colorful, and youthful line. The summer 2009 Blue label collection features graphic t-shirts, cargo shorts, colorful scarfs, and lightweight jackets. Matinique’s Black label is more in tune with what people are used to seeing from the company. This line is sharp and sophisticated in terms of color, style, and fit. Although there are some questionable jean shorts thrown in the mix, the summer 2009 Black label collection features suits, blazers, and other apparel with clean lines and slim fits.
