In the remote town of Stryn, Norway, two local designers, Simen Staalnacke and Peder Børresen, created a fashion concept soon to be known and worn as Moods of Norway. Going strong for six years now, their latest spring/summer collection is a tribute to Norway’s 19th century painters, musicians and writers, labelling the likes of violinist Ole Bull, painter Carl Dørnberger, and writer Camilla Collett “Norway’s first legendary superstars.” Their newest line comes in three ‘moods’: street, casual and cocktail. Their ‘street mood’ apparel is a mixture of everyday outerwear and a variation of colours easily worn on a day out; their ‘casual mood’ clothing is filled with numerous patterns designed in numerous shirts and shorts, plus casual zip-up jackets and a button jacket to complete the look; and the ‘cocktail mood’s pieces, which include a nice selection jackets and waistcoats, are perfect for a night out on the town.
