Man of Moods Spring/Summer 2009 – Geometrical
Yuya Noguchi’s Man of Moods Spring/Summer 09 line is called “Geometrical.” The basis for the title can easily be seen in the angular patterns printed onto blazers and sweaters, and in the structured, crisp lines of jackets and metallic pants. The contrast here in fabric, color choice and even button placement gives the collection some of its more interesting and unexpected combinations, and keeps it from being too harsh or cold. Sheer vests and sweaters can be worn with the collection’s plaid pants, while bursts of yellow and purple play off of the muted grays and whites throughout. As would be expected from a label out of Japan, MofM favors a slim cut. The SS09 collection can be found at the Tokyo flagship shop, BBlessing in New York, Atsui TOKYO in Seattle and other boutiques around the world.
