This ultra-rare and battle proven Ferrari 330 (chassis number 0858) will be the centerpiece of the upcoming Leggenda e Passione event hosted in Italy this May. Auction house Sotheby’s has joined forces with RM Auctions to put this P4, one of the most heralded machines in racing history, in the hands of the highest bidder. As one of only three ever produced by the masters from Maranello, this Ferrari has an impressive racing lineage. 0858 took first placed at fabled Monza, placed third overall in the ’67 24 Hours of Le Mans, and placed its drivers on the podium in races all over the world. This car was fabricated at a time when Ferrari S.p.A. was at odds with Ford Motor Company and its dominant GT40, and the success of the P4 was evidence of Enzo and Co.’s drive and determination to settle for nothing but the best. Although this is only the third year for the Leggende, it has already exceeded everyone’s expectations with the offering of this beautiful and storied vehicle. The value is estimated in excess of $10 million.
