McLaren P11 Supercar

mclaren-eco

McLaren’s back, in diesel guise this time. Jumping on the green (well, relatively) bandwagon, the boys from the United Kingdom have put together their first supercar since the revolutionary F1. While it’s no Tesla, it does pack a high-output diesel V8, and uses regenerative braking common in many of today’s hybrids in order to store energy. McLaren hopes the P11 will compete against such supercars as the Ferrari F430 and Porsche GT2, and with a top speed of over 200mph and a claimed 0-60 of less than four seconds, we think they might just be able to hang in there. The P11 will debut at the Los Angeles auto show later this year.
