Boomerang has been, in their own words, “defining Scandanavian Preppy since 1976.” It was then that co-founders Kenneth Andram and Peter Wilton launched their line of timeless casual clothing for men that has since become a mainstay of Swedish style. Rather than reinvent the wheel each season, the brand has a tradition of updating classic pieces like chinos and cotton blazers for a more modern look that remains in synch with the times. Their Spring/Summer 09 line of menswear is consistent with the Boomerang legacy. Trousers fall above the ankles, sweaters are cut slim and fabrics are chosen to reflect the climate of northern Europe. Rather than appearing to be just the Swedish answer to J. Crew, details like these give the overall collection a distinctly Scandanavian sensibility.
