In 1977 Yohji Yamamoto presented his first collection in Tokyo, Japan. 32 years later, the now influential designer presents Y’s fall/winter 2009 collection. In a nod to the dark, cold days of fall and winter, this collection screams comfort with Yamamoto’s signature over-sized silhouettes, plaid pants, long coats, scarfs, and some leather. With drop-crotch pants becoming more prevalent, it’s interesting to see Yamamoto’s take on the piece with a more relaxed design.
