From Frillr: For Fall-Winter 2009 . 2010, Brian Wood explores the darkness of human nature in a theme of Night Stalkers. “Night the time from dusk to dawn when no sunlight is visible, an evening set aside for a particular purpose. A period of dreary inactivity or affliction, and absence of moral values mark the beginning of darkness. “
“Stalkers , who stalk, pursuing obsessively to the point of harassment…walking stiffly or haughtily pursuing prey stealthily.”
These elements inspired Wood’s collection of leather and water repellent outerwear, woven shirts with printed blog splatter details (reminiscent of Hedi Slimane’s blood splatter pieces), and cashmere blend and wool knit polos. There is this raw accessibility and sporty optimism. And Wood’s trademark of functionality is present throughout.
