Omega has re-released its classic PloProf (Plongeuer Professionnel) timepiece. It looks just like the original, but is now rated to 1200 meters, twice the depth rating of the 1960s version. It also comes with the choice of three new straps, the Shark, or a black or orange rubber strap that is adjustable to fit over diving suits. Unfortunately for many of us, the updated PloProf will still be rather expensive. After all, you are getting a co-axial movement in a legendary design, a chronometer rating, and a case good to 1200 meters below the surface. Selling price will be around $7,500 when it hits the stores.
