Andrew Holden’s Coference of Birds keeps the unneeded bright colors on hold for the Autumn/Winter season. Inspired by the late 1880’s, where stories such as “The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde” emerged, Holden keeps a very dark, cryptic, yet elegant mood to his collection. For this range, we see Holden masterfully crafting his talent for knits with chunky wools and oversized cardigans. The tailoring of the jackets are also worth the mention, as well as the blazers. It’s a seemingly big departure from his white/cream Spring 2009 collection, but if you think about it, there is quite a fashion story to be told here from one season to the next.
