The creative pair behind United Bamboo, Miho Aoki and Thuy Pham, didn’t employ their usual construction of origami pleats, asymmetrical shapes, and architectural lines in their collection for this year’s Fall and Winter seasons. Their Men’s line enters a more casual and traditional gentleman area. It’s always interesting to see lines take these directions to see if they remain current with trends and still maintain their sensibilities that brought them into the spotlight. They’ve responded with true conviction.
All of the knitwear, jackets, and trousers have clean silhouettes which holds true to the United Bamboo aesthetic, but they’ve explored with colors and textures more this time around though still very muted.
