For his 2009 Fall/Winter ready-to-wear collection, Yamamoto reverts back to the core aesthetics of Y-3 with its athletic and military inspired styles. Although muted colors such as greys, blacks, and white are still its dominant hues, colors such as its red, blue, sea green, burgundy, and its signature orange give the collection its much needed athletic accents.
