Mama Shelter

Mama Shelter opened its doors mid-September of this year. It was founded by the Trigano Family (Club Med), Parisian Philosopher Cyril Aouizerate, and popular designer Philippe Starck. The hotel is very technologicaly advanced and equipped, and is sometimes called a “geek” friendly hotel with its sci-fi and pop culture motifs – Superman or Chewbacca masks are lamps in some of the rooms. As an example of it being a tech savvy and design inspired hotel, each of its rooms is equipped with a 24-inch Apple iMac multimedia center, replacing the ubiquitous Television screen. With the in-room computer, guests can now enjoy HDTV, music, radio, CDs, films, DVDs and internet connection, all with the iMac multimedia center. iMac screens are also present throughout the whole hotel also. Rooms start out at 79 Euros, which is a pretty good price in France. Breakfast, however, is not complementary. Check out more images of the hotel after the jump.
