Dream Cars of the Future Since 1950
As car enthusiasts, we all marvel at concept car designs by the many car manufacturers in the world. Yet, some of those concepts, will forever remain just that, a concept car that would never go into mass manufacturing stage for us to enjoy. Now think about this notion, and imagine how it was in the past, beginning in the year 1950. Imagine how all concept cars were thought of and designed in the olden days. Some were successes and some never saw the light of day. Luckily, a new exhibit has opened entitled “Dream Cars of the Future Since 1950″ to show the public the many designs and prototypes that have surfaced in the car industry. Organized by the Torino 2008 World Design Capital in with the Museo Nazionale dell’Automobile “Carlo Biscaretti di Ruffia,” the exhibit features over 50 prototypes with three rooms just for audiovisual and virtual presentations. If you’re ever in Torino, make sure to catch this exhibit. If you can’t, check out some of the images after the jump.
