Advancements in flying car technology is upon us, although not really similar to what some of us have imagined. The Biofuel Skycar is set to embark on a 3,700 mile land/air journey from London to Timbuktu this January. The Skycar is able to go from land to air in 3 minutes thanks to a lightweight Parawing that is powered by a large fan built into the back of the vehicle and can reach impressive air speeds of 100 mph. The Skycar is also certified for street use and its 140bhp Yamaha R1 engine can run on Ethenol. It might not be like the cars from Back to the Future II but we’re glad its environmentally friendly.
