Italian manufacturer Piaggo, makers of Vespa, are set to release their new MP3 Hybrid next year. The MP3 Hybrid is the first ever mass produced hybrid scooter and does not lack on performance. It will feature a 125cc four stroke gasoline engine capable of going 0 – 60 in about 5 seconds all while boasting an eco-friendly 141 MPG. The battery can be recharged within 3 hours with a regular wall socket or via regenerative braking. The MP3 Hybrid also has the capability of running on four different modes: all electric or 3 different hybrid modes. Several reports claim the price tag will be around $7,000.
